Three Forks
Wood Reclamation
Unique. Historic. Beautiful.
Three Forks overseas reclaimed wood provides exotic beauty, one-of-a-kind documented history and heritage, and incredible photographs of the discovery and disassembly of the original wooden structure for the next owner to share with family and friends.
We save the wood from structures that are at the end of their days and pass the wood, as well as its story in both pictures and words, to its next purpose, fulfilling the spirit of environmentalism to recycle and reuse.
The wood. The structure. The story.
The wood.
The structure.
The story.
Who We Are: Three Forks is a disabled-veteran-owned new business that provides clients an uniquely different approach to reclaimed wood.
Our model is total site reclamation of overseas wooden structures that are becoming lost to time and to provide our clients with high-quality reclaimed wood, the one-of-a-kind story of that wood, and beautiful photography from site discovery to reclamation by local craftsmen for fair compensation.
We have in-country teams of native project managers who scout for the most interesting wooden sites that are no longer viable structures. Our teams coordinate an equitable purchase and hire local craftsmen to carefully disassemble in a manner to provide later reconstruction as an option. These local teams also coordinate heat treatment for USDA import requirements, overland trucking, and container packaging for shipping to the US port closest to the client site. The US team then coordinates for final overland trucking to the client-specified delivery site to confirm careful unloading and receipt.
Discovery
We find one of a kind structures and document the discovery. The owners, families, and neighbors share the history and heritage of the site, land, and area.
Disassembly
We organize local craftsmen to carefully disassemble the structure and label each reclaimed piece of wood. The priority is preservation of the wood, the history they represent, and care for the native environment.
Warehouse
We fulfill all US import requirements using local kilns for heat treatment to reduce moisture and eliminate any insects. The wood is stored in covered and secured warehouses before shipment.
Transit
We ship the wood inside containers on international carriers. The containers clear US customs and are delivered directly to a location chosen by the client.
Utilization
The wood is integrated within it’s new home and its legacy continues.
